ShadeTree Community Church receives her inspiration from a word given to an ancient prophet named Micah. Living during a time of instability and injustice the Lord God told him there would be a day when all mankind will sit under his own tree in peace and security (Micah 4:4).
God invites us into the process of making the world a place filled with His peace. He tells us how to do it in the same book.
““He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8”
When Jesus came into the world he embodied the vision of Micah. He invites us to participate by making Him our ShadeTree. It is in Christ we find peace with God and with one another. He invites us to become His follower. He invites us to imitate His life and pray His kingdom come to earth as it is heaven.
The Kingdom of God is simply God's alternative arrangement for human society built around Jesus. It is a place of human flourishing for all people.
